As Beşe Helva, located in the Aegean region and carrying the legacy of nearly two centuries of culinary expertise, we continue to produce with the inspiration we inherited from our ancestors. As fifth-generation producers, we pass on the culinary heritage we inherited from our grandfather, Ömer Beşe, to new generations with the same care and meticulousness.
Our biggest difference is that while bringing ancient flavors to the present day, we do not abandon traditional production methods. We preserve the mastery, patience, and quality inherent in helva; and we combine this with the hygiene and quality standards of the modern age in our facilities.

The Beşe family has been serving the traditional taste of halva since the 1830s. This journey began in Manisa in the 1850s.
Our brand, which has accumulated nearly 130 years of experience, was registered in 1885. Hacı Ahmet Efendi established the first halva factory in Manisa. Then, in the early years of the Republic, our company grew and developed like Turkey itself. After the great Manisa fire, Ziya Ahmet Manisalı moved the production center to İzmir. The historic Havra Street, stretching from Agora to Kestanepazarı, thus became the home of the most delicious halva of the Aegean. Furthermore, in the 1930s, new factories were added to the family in Istanbul, Zonguldak, and Adana.
Beşe, which keeps the taste of 1885 alive as it was then, increases its production volume and activities a little more each year. Our products are loved in many countries in America and Europe. The richness of flavor we add to tahini and halva also adds new experiences to traditional tastes. The brand’s development continued in the 1990s with the modern facilities established by Ömer Beşe, a third-generation manufacturer.
In 1991, it was crowned with the “100 Years in Industry” award from the then Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel at the “Successful Industrialists Ceremony” organized by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry. We bear the responsibility of being the first and only company in this region to have earned the 100-year award across all sectors.
Another important feature of our brand is that it was the first company in the sector to receive TSE certification. This further reinforces the expertise and experience of our 150-year-old company.
